Just rolled out a small change to the Pumping Inventory page to display the total volume of “lost” or “discarded” milk. We also added a new option to record milk as “donated” based on user feedback. You get to these options by clicking a container on your Inventory page and clicking the “retire options” link.

Update to Pumping Inventory
Monday, May 9th, 2011We had to Reboot the Baby
Sunday, May 8th, 2011We made a mistake during routine maintenance this afternoon which abruptly brought the server down. We realized the mistake immediately and began fixing it, but we had to completely rebuild the server which took about 6 hours (1:38pm to 7:44pm ET.)
We know the downtime was very frustrating, but we’re happy to report that not a single piece of data was lost because we maintain live (realtime) data backups on a separate machine.
As a result of today’s mistake, we’re adding a new level of backup service that will let us recover the server much faster in the event anything happens in the future.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience — on Mother’s day no less! — and have added an extra week to every TT account to say thank you for your patience today.
The last thing I want to mention is that we couldn’t communicate via trixietracker.com today, but we were updating our Twitter and Facebook accounts. If you don’t follow us already, please do. It’s a good way to get information about the site. Happy tracking!
