Trixie Tracker Privacy Policy

  1. At Trixie Tracker, we recognize that our users entrust us with one of the most valuable things in the world – personal information regarding their newborn baby. We do not approach this responsibility lightly. As such, we design and operate our services to safeguard and maintain the privacy of the personal and telemetric data collected by users about their children. This Privacy Policy details what personal information is gathered and how that information is applied.
  2. Throughout this Privacy Policy we refer to different types of personal information. Personally identifying information is information that uniquely identifies you, such as your name or email address. Non-personally identifying information is information that cannot identify you, either because it never contained personally identifying information (such as server log data,) or is aggregated or has been rendered anonymous.
  3. Data Collection and Use
    1. Trixie Tracker collects non-personally identifying information from your browser when you visit our site. This log information includes technical information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, referrer URLs, the date and time of your visit and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. We use this information to analyze overall site traffic trends and improve our services.
    2. Cookies are small files sent to your computer that uniquely identify your browser. Trixie Tracker sets a cookie when a new user registers. This cookie allows us to recognize you as an existing user when you return to the site using the same computer and web browser, which means you do not have to sign-in at every visit.
    3. In order to use Trixie Tracker you are required to register for an account. We ask you for personal information (including a password for your account) during the registration process, and use that information to create a unique account. Once your account exists, by accessing the “My Account” tab after you are signed in, you have the ability to review, update and correct your personal information, in the event it changes.
    4. Trixie Tracker allows you to record, edit and delete a variety of detailed events in your child’s life. This data is called Telemetry, and we use this information to create a record (including summaries, averages and charts) that allows you to better understand your child’s habits. Telemetry data is also used in the following applications:
      1. Aggregate Data: Trixie Tracker combines, in a non-identifiable format, the Telemetry data you provide with Telemetry data provided by other users to create aggregate data that can be accessed by all users. Aggregate data does not contain any personal information that could be used to contact you or identify your child. For example, Trixie Tracker may use information gathered to create a composite profile of sleep habits of 6 month-old babies. These profiles may be disclosed to third parties.
      2. Anonymous Individual Data Profiles: In addition to creating aggregate data, Trixie Tracker may use Telemetry data you provide to create Anonymous Individual Data Profiles. These profiles do not contain any personal information that could be used to contact you or identify your child. For example, Trixie Tracker may use anonymous individual data profiles to allow users to view a selection of non-averaged, non-aggregated sleep pattern charts in order to see the real range of variation in 6 month-old baby sleep habits. These anonymous profiles may be disclosed to third parties.
    5. Trixie Tracker may ask for feedback concerning our service. This includes comments, suggestions or bug reports. If user feedback contains personally identifying information, that information will only be used in the event that a response to the feedback is necessitated.
  4. Information Sharing
    1. We do not rent, sell or share your personally identifying information to third parties except in the following limited situations:
      1. You have given your consent.
      2. We provide such information to trusted contractors (such as payment processors) in order to process personally identifying information on our behalf. In this situation, we require those parties to process such information only on our instructions and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
    2. Aggregated data is shared with other Trixie Tracker users. An example of this is a composite profile of the sleep habits of all 6 month-old babies in our system. Aggregated data does not contain personally identifying information.
    3. Anonymous individual data profiles are shared with other Trixie Tracker users. An example of this is the ability view a selection of non-averaged, non-aggregated sleep pattern charts in order to see the real range of variation in 6 month-old baby sleep habits. These profiles do not contain personally identifying information.
    4. Aggregated data, anonymous individual data profiles and other statistical, non-personally identifying information may be shared with third parties.
    5. You may wish to allow limited third parties (for example, your spouse at work) to access your Trixie Tracker account. In order to share your account, you will have to disclose your password to the third party. This action carries security implications. Your password allows the third party to not only view your Telemetry data, but also access your account with full privileges to create, modify and delete your data. It is your responsibility to protect your password and never disclose it to anyone whom you do not trust to have complete access to your account.
  5. Information Security
    1. Trixie Tracker employs safeguards to protect the integrity of user data. We also protect such data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. In the event that our safeguards are comprised, it is possible that data may be unintentionally disclosed to third parties. If this occurs we will contact users who may be affected by such disclosure.
    2. Employee access to personally identifying information is restricted to situations in which that information is needed in order to operate, develop or improve our services.
    3. You must protect your password to prevent unauthorized third parties from accessing your account. In addition, if third parties have access to the computer you use to access your account, you must sign out of your account when you are finished to ensure protection of your information.
